This project involved the complete preparation and tiling installation of a modern wet room, designed with clean lines, practical drainage, and a bold feature wall to elevate the overall finish.

Prior to tiling, the entire wet area was fully tanked on both walls and floor, creating a waterproof barrier essential for long-term performance. The space was then fully tiled using large-format porcelain tiles, complemented by a vertical mosaic feature wall that adds depth, texture, and contrast.

Careful planning and execution ensured the wet room was not only visually sharp but fully waterproof, durable, and ready for long-term daily use.

Substrate Preparation & Waterproofing

  • Full wall and floor tanking system applied throughout the wet area

  • Waterproof membrane installed to protect against moisture penetration

  • All joints, corners, and penetrations sealed for complete coverage

  • Tanking completed and cured prior to tiling to ensure a secure base

Floor

  • Fully tiled wet room floor using large-format porcelain tiles

  • Precision falls formed toward a linear drain for efficient water flow

  • Clean cuts and accurate alignment around drainage channels

Walls

  • Full-height wall tiling throughout the wet area

  • Main walls finished with 300x600mm porcelain tiles laid in a clean horizontal pattern

  • Feature wall completed with vertically installed glass/mosaic tiles to create a striking focal point

Tile Finish & Layout

  • Tight, consistent grout joints

  • Sharp internal corners and neat edge detailing

  • Smooth transitions between porcelain tiles and mosaic feature wall, including the curved feature wall return

🔹 Cleaning & Handover

  • Full clean-down of all tiled surfaces

  • Removal of grout haze, adhesive residue, and construction dust

  • Tiles left polished with a uniform, professional finish

  • Wet room handed over clean, dry, fully waterproofed, and ready for immediate use
